A number that stays unchanged does not identify the cause. It might be a saved value, a historical price, a cached indicator, a stopped sidebar timer or a request that exceeded your allowance. Start with one simple formula and the visible account status. This gives you a useful comparison before you edit a working portfolio.
Run a small, repeatable check
Open Extensions → CryptoTrackPro → Open CryptoTrackPro. Confirm the connected email, plan and remaining lookups in the sidebar. A spreadsheet shared between several Google accounts can be opened under an account different from the one that holds the subscription. Use the same account for the sheet and the add-on connection.
In an empty cell on your test tab, enter:

Click Refresh All Prices in the sidebar once and note the result message. Compare your original cell with this test, allowing the request to finish before repeating it.

Choose the right refresh control
The menu command Extensions → CryptoTrackPro → Refresh All Prices scans the active sheet tab. The sidebar's Refresh All Prices button scans formulas across the workbook's tabs. If one tab changed and another did not, check which control you used before assuming the entire workbook failed.
Both paths remain subject to your lookup allowance. When too few lookups remain, a refresh can cover only part of a workbook. Read the completion message and review the balance; repeatedly clicking the button cannot restore an exhausted allowance. A workbook containing many old formula tabs may perform more work than the dashboard currently in view suggests.
Keep the sidebar open for timed refresh
Base offers a 30-minute timed interval and Pro a 5-minute interval while the sidebar remains open. Closing the sidebar stops its timer. Browser suspension, device sleep or a network interruption can also delay activity. Reopen the sidebar and use a manual refresh when returning to a sheet you need to review.
After initial connection, reopening the spreadsheet also refreshes within the lookup allowance. This is separate from leaving the timed-refresh toggle enabled. Neither behavior turns a closed, offline spreadsheet into a guaranteed continuously updating market feed. Use the last refresh information as a record of the add-on's activity, not proof that every source published a new price at that exact time.
Know which values are meant to change
Current-price formulas use cached values between refreshes. RSI and MACD have an approximately 15-minute indicator cache and use daily candles, so a 5-minute Pro refresh may return the same indicator. A historical price for a fixed past date is cached as a historical reference and is not supposed to track today's market. Test the appropriate function before expecting movement.
Current quotes and indicators also use different coverage. A current BTC-EUR price and an RSI value are different calculations; a working live quote does not guarantee a supported Kraken indicator market. The RSI guide explains daily intervals, currency pairs and unfinished candles.
Fix input errors without adding refresh tricks
A pair should be text such as BTC-USD, or a reference to a cell containing that text. Use =cryptotrackpro(A2) when A2 contains BTC-USD; do not quote the cell reference as "A2". For date cells, use =cryptotrackproPrice("BTC",TEXT(B2,"yyyy-mm-dd"),"USD") with a completed past date in B2.
Examples use commas between arguments. If your sheet expects semicolons, change argument separators while preserving quoted text. Do not append NOW() or RAND() to force updates. Google's custom-function guidance requires deterministic arguments and explains why volatile arguments can leave a function loading indefinitely. Use the add-on refresh controls instead.
Send support a useful reproduction
If the small BTC-USD test still fails after reconnecting and checking your allowance, record the exact formula, full error message, time, connected email and whether you used the menu or sidebar. Include the affected cell address and whether other pairs work. Send these details through support; avoid sharing wallet secrets or unrelated transaction data. Preserve the original sheet so the issue can be compared before and after a fix.

Why did prices stop after I closed the sidebar?
Timed refresh runs while the sidebar remains open. Reopen it and refresh manually, then leave it open for the Base 30-minute or Pro 5-minute interval.
Why does Refresh All Prices update only one tab?
The menu command scans the active tab, while the sidebar button scans workbook tabs. Both are subject to remaining lookup allowances, so an exhausted allowance can also limit the result.
