Information We Collect

CryptoTrackPro collects your Google account email address to verify your subscription status and provide service access. We automatically gather usage data including API call statistics, error logs, and timestamps for service monitoring and improvement.

Data Storage and Retention

We maintain two categories of data:

  • Email address — Linked to your Google account and subscription. Retained while your account is active.
  • Daily usage logs — Kept for five days, then automatically deleted via database TTL policy.

Upon receiving a deletion request at contact@cryptotrackpro.com, all personal data will be erased within 30 days.

Payment Handling

All subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. CryptoTrackPro does not store or have direct access to your payment details, including card numbers, expiry dates, or CVV codes. Please consult Stripe's Privacy Policy for information about how your payment data is handled.

How We Use Your Data

Information we collect is used for the following purposes:

  • Service authentication and subscription plan verification
  • Enforcing daily API call limits based on your plan
  • Operational diagnostics and error monitoring
  • Sending account-related notifications (plan changes, policy updates)
  • Secure payment processing through Stripe

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Stripe for subscription payment processing
  • When legally required by law enforcement or court order
  • To enforce these Terms and protect user safety

Google API Services User Data

CryptoTrackPro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Accessed

The add-on requests the following Google OAuth scopes:

  • Email address (userinfo.email) — Your Google account email, used solely to identify your account for quota tracking and plan management.
  • Current spreadsheet (spreadsheets.currentonly) — Read access to cell formulas in the active spreadsheet to locate =cryptotrackpro() formula cells for bulk price refresh. Write access to update those cells with live prices. No spreadsheet content is transmitted to our servers.
  • Script properties (script.storage) — Stores your preferences (plan type, auto-refresh toggle state, last refresh timestamp) locally in Google's infrastructure via UserProperties and CacheService. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Script triggers (script.scriptapp) — Creates and manages time-based triggers for the auto-refresh feature. No user data is involved.
  • Sidebar UI (script.container.ui) — Displays the add-on sidebar within Google Sheets. No user data is accessed via this scope.
  • External requests (script.external_request) — Allows the add-on to call our backend API to retrieve cryptocurrency prices. Only your email address and the currency pairs you have entered in your spreadsheet are sent.

Data Usage

Google user data is used exclusively to provide the CryptoTrackPro service: identifying your account, enforcing your plan's daily quota, and delivering cryptocurrency prices to your spreadsheet. We do not use Google user data for advertising, user profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the add-on's core functionality.

Data Sharing

Your email address is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (a Google service) to track usage quotas. It is shared with Stripe solely for subscription billing. No Google user data is sold, rented, or shared with any other third party. Currency pair requests (e.g. "BTC-USD") are sent to CoinMarketCap and CryptoCompare to retrieve prices — no personally identifiable information is included in those requests.

Data Storage & Protection

Your email address and usage logs are stored in Google Cloud Firestore with encryption at rest and in transit. All API communication uses HTTPS. Access is restricted to the CryptoTrackPro Cloud Functions service account.

Data Retention & Deletion

Daily usage logs are automatically deleted after 5 days via Firestore TTL policy. Your account profile (email and plan) is retained while your account is active. To request deletion of all your data, email contact@cryptotrackpro.com — all data will be erased within 30 days.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not store or transmit the content of your Google Sheets spreadsheets to our servers. Cell formulas are read client-side only to identify =cryptotrackpro() cells during a refresh — this processing happens entirely within Google's infrastructure. We do not collect portfolio values, holdings, cost-basis figures, or any financial data you have entered in your spreadsheet.

Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We store data in Google Cloud Firestore, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. We acknowledge that no digital security system is completely infallible.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
